One Case of Yiwu Selected as an Excellent Case of Common Prosperity of Farmers and Rural Areas in Zhejiang

It was learned from the Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs that the case of Yiwu’s Vitalization of “Night Market Economy” to Boost the Development of Village Collective Economy was selected as an Excellent Case of Common Prosperity of Farmers and Rural Areas in Zhejiang Province.

Besides, Yiwu has revised the special support measures for the development of village collective economy, expanding the scope of subsidies and granting subsidies to eligible projects at 70% of the total investment, with a maximum of CNY 1 million for a single village. It supports the use of public areas for bazaars and renovates and upgrades the surrounding convenient service facilities to provide strong support for the night market economy.

So far, the “night market economy” of Yiwu has begun to take shape, and a market-oriented operation path for the participation of village collective economy in the night market economy has basically formed. There are a total of 36 night markets in operation in the city, of which 29 are organized by village collective economic stock cooperatives, with the village collective income of more than CNY 80 million and an average village income of more than CNY 2 million.
