Citywide Conference on Building a Safe Yiwu Held

On November 18, Yiwu City held a conference to advance the construction of a “Safe Yiwu,” summarizing previous work, analyzing the current situation, and planning tasks for the next stage. On behalf of Municipal Party Secretary Wang Jian, Mayor Ye Bangrui delivered an emphatic speech at the meeting.The meeting stressed the need to thoroughly study and implement the key speeches, instructions, and directives of General Secretary Xi Jinping, and to firmly shoulder the political responsibility of “promoting development in one area and ensuring security in one area.” It called for a unified effort to build safety with overwhelming force and protect safety with collective power. The city aims to use the tangible results of building a “Safe Yiwu” to demonstrate absolute loyalty, test capability and skills, and embody a people-centered approach. The goal is to continue consolidating and advancing a favorable environment of political security, social stability, and public tranquility.

The meeting required that Party and government forces should be mobilized to establish the principle of “judging heroes by practical achievements,” adopt a higher-level responsibility system with task allocation, strengthen supervision and follow-up, accelerate the rectification of shortcomings and weaknesses, and continuously consolidate the positive development momentum.Mass organizations should be mobilized to fully leverage their role as bridges and links, expand and strengthen social welfare organizations, and mobilize more social forces to participate in the construction of a “Safe Yiwu.”
