Yiwu’s market procurement and export exceeded 200 billion yuan in the first three quarters, a year-on-year increase of 27.0%
It is learned from Yiwu Customs that in the first three quarters of this year, Yiwu exported 20.03 billion yuan (RMB, the same below) through market procurement trade, a year-on-year increase of 27.0%, driving the city’s export growth by 19.3 percentage points.
According to Yiwu Customs statistics, in the first three quarters of 2021, Yiwu’s total foreign trade import and export value was 272.69 billion yuan, an increase of 18.0% over the same period in 2020, and the import and export volume accounted for 9.1% of Zhejiang’s total. Among them, exports were 256.96 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.7%, accounting for 11.9% of the province’s exports.
In terms of imports, in the first three quarters of this year, Yiwu imported 11.92 billion yuan of consumer goods, a year-on-year increase of 51.9%.
In the first three quarters of this year, Yiwu’s export of labor-intensive products was 101.49 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21.4%, accounting for 39.5% of Yiwu’s total export value. Among them, exports of clothing, clothing accessories, and plastic products were 28.05 billion yuan and 26.52 billion yuan, respectively. The year-on-year increase was 27.9% and 23.0%. The export of mechanical and electrical products was 94.87 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.1%, accounting for 36.9% of the total export value of Yiwu; among them, the export of solar cells was 6.32 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 464.2%.
In the first three quarters of this year, Yiwu Customs supervised the “Yixin Europe” China-Europe Express train with a total value of 23.96 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 71.9%, achieving rapid growth.
In the same period, Yiwu’s main trade markets have seen good growth, with Chile and Mexico growing rapidly.
In the first three quarters of this year, Yiwu’s imports and exports to Africa were 55.70 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.2%; the total value of imports and exports to ASEAN was 34.03 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 24.5%; the total value of imports and exports to the EU was 28.58 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 27.4%; Imports and exports of the United States, India, Chile, and Mexico were respectively 27.80 billion yuan, 11.32 billion yuan, 9.17 billion yuan, and 8.16 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 17.6%, 29.5%, 98.8%, and 86.0% respectively.
In the same period, Yiwu City’s total imports and exports to countries and regions along the “Belt and Road” was 113.24 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.7%.
