Yiwu in East China’s Zhejiang province recorded 285.99 billion yuan ($43.79 billion) in imports abd exports in the first 11 months, growing 6.9 percent over the same period last year, according to the Yiwu Customs on Dec 24.
The city’s imports and exports in the first three quarters accounted for 9.3 percent of the provincial total.
Specifically, Yiwu’s exports were valued at 275.12 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.4 percent, while imports were valued at 10.87 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 23.8 percent.
In November, the city’s foreign trade volume was 27.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 19.1 percent.
Specifically, the exports stood at 26.75 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.1 percent, while imports stood at 1.15 billion yuan, down 0.6 percent year on year.
