Located in the central part of Zhejiang Province and the eastern edge of Jinqu Basin, Yiwu has an area of 1,105 square kilometers. Since the Reform and Opening-up Initiative, Yiwu has adhered to and deepened its development strategy of building a city through thriving business, with the cultivation, development and promotion of markets as its core. Ithas vigorously promoted industrialization, internationalization and integration of urban and rural areas and formed a regional development path with its own characteristics, which makes it become one of the 18 typical regions in the country for reform and opening-up. 市政府政策扶持

Municipal government policy support

1、支持进口日用消费品，积极发展一般贸易进口。

进口日用消费品（含食品,下同）且货到义乌的，按进口额给予境内收货人1美元0.15元的奖励（人民币，下同）。母婴用品类、美容美发护理类、家居生活类、预包装食品类、冷冻水产品类等重点培育品类商品，按进口额给予1美元0.2元的奖励。

货未到义乌的，按进口额给予1美元0.05元的奖励。

1.Supporting ImportofDailyConsumer Goods,Actively Developing Import for General Trade

Importing daily consumer goods (including food, the same below) and shipping to Yiwu, domestic consignees will be given an award of 0.15 yuan (RMB, the same below) for one us dollar by imports. For mother & baby products, beauty and hair care products, household products, prepackaged food, frozen aquatic products and other strongly supported commodities, domestic consignees will be given 0.2 yuan for one us dollar by imports.

If goods are not to be unloaded in Yiwu, domestic consignees will be given award of 0.05 yuan for one us dollar goods by imports.

2、支持发展转口贸易

依托义乌保税物流中心、指定口岸开展转口贸易的，按转口贸易额给予1美元0.05元的奖励。

2.Supportingthe DevelopmentofEntrepot Trade

Enterprises that develop entrepot trade at Yiwu bonded logistics center and designated ports will be given an award of 0.05 yuan for one us dollar by entrepot trade volume.

3、支持保税物流中心发展

进口货物运输到保税物流中心报关的，给予境内收货人400元/票的报关补助。

对从上海港、宁波（含舟山港）运输至保税物流中心的，分别给予境内收货人1800元/自然箱、800元/自然箱的运输补助。冷链货物运输，每个自然箱增加1500元补助。从“义新欧”班列直接到保税区内清关的，给予300元/自然箱的运输补助。

3.Supportingthe Developmentof Bonded Logistics Center

If the imported cargoes are transported to bonded logistics center for customs declaration, the domestic consignees will be given a customs declaration subsidy of 400 yuan per shipment.

If the imported cargoes are transported to bonded logistics center from Shanghai Port or Ningbo Port (including Zhoushan Port), the domestic consignees will be respectively given a transport subsidy of 1800 yuan and 800 yuan per unit. For transport of cold chain goods, each unit will be given more 1500 yuan. Those who transport their cargoes from“Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe”(YXE) railway cargo service directly to the bonded area for customs clearance will be given a transport subsidy of 300 yuan per unit.

4、支持“义新欧”回程班列运输进口货物

对通过“义新欧”班列运输且通过义乌海关清关的日用消费品，按进口额给予1美元0.3元的奖励。该条款与第1条不重复享受。

4.Supporting “Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe” (YXE)RailwayCargoServiceReturnLine toTransportImportedGoods

Daily consumer goods that are transported by“Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe” (YXE) railway cargo serviceand cleared by Yiwu customs will be given an award of 0.3 yuan for one us dollar by imports. Reward of this terms and the first terms, consignees cannot repeatedly enjoy.

5、支持进口企业做大做强，鼓励规模经营

对一般贸易进口的，年进口额首次达到100万美元、200万美元、500万美元、1000万美元、5000万美元、1亿美元的企业，分别给予2万元、4万元、10万元、20万元、100万元、200万元的一次性奖励。

5.SupportingImportEnterprises toBecomeBigger andStronger,EncouragingScaleOperation

Enterprises that for the first time the annual imports for general trade reaches US$1,000,000, US$2,000,000, US$5,000,000, US$10,000,000, US$50,000,000, US$100,000,000 will be respectively given one-time reward of 20,000 yuan, 40,000 yuan, 100,000 yuan, 200,000 yuan, 1,000,000 yuan, 2,000,000 yuan.

6、支持企业获得进口商品代理权

对获得境外注册品牌浙江省级、中国大陆区代理权或经销权的企业，且单个品牌从引进之日起一周年内实际进口货值超过2万美元（含）的，每个品牌分别给予2万元、5万元的一次性奖励。

6.Supporting Enterprisesto Acquirethe Rightof Agencyof Import Goods

A one-time reward of 20,000 yuan and 50,000 yuan will be given to each brand if the actual import value of a single brand exceeds 20,000 us dollars (including 20,000 us dollars) within a year from the date of introduction to an enterprise that has obtained the agency or distribution right of overseas registered brand in Zhejiang provincial-level or Chinese mainland.

7、支持企业参加进口展会

参加国内重点进口商品展的，给予参展企业展位费80%的补助，单家企业最高补助4个展位。

7.Supporting enterprises to participate in import exhibition

Enterprises that participate in domestic key import exhibition will be given 80% subsidy of the exhibitor fee. Single-enterprise can maximum subsidy of 4 booths in an individual exhibition.

8、设立政府进口增信基金

首期规模为1亿元，用于扶持进口企业发展（具体方案另行制订）。

8.Establishmentof Government Import Credit Enhancement Fund

The initial fund size is 100,000,000 yuan which is used to support the development of import enterprises. (specific programs will be formulated separately).

9、鼓励为本地财政做贡献

对进口日用消费品并在义乌实现销售的企业，年进口额1000万美元以下部分，按地方财政贡献额，给予50%的奖励；1000万美元（含）以上部分，按地方财政贡献额，给予80%的奖励。对进口其他商品（除日用消费品外商品）并在义乌实现销售的企业（报关海关不限于义乌，货物不限于运至义乌），5000万美元以下部分，按地方财政贡献额，给予50%的奖励；5000万美元（含）以上部分，按地方财政贡献额，给予80%的奖励。

9.Encouragingto Make a Contributionto Local Fiscal

Enterprises that import daily consumer goods and sell them in Yiwu will be rewarded 50% of the annul imports less than 10 million us dollars according to the local financial contribution; 80% of the above 10 million us dollars (including 10 million us dollars) will be rewarded according to the local financial contribution. Enterprises that import other goods (except for daily consumer goods) and sell them in Yiwu (customs clearance is not limited to Yiwu and goods are not limited transported to Yiwu) will be rewarded of 50% of the annual imports less than 50 million us dollars according to the local financial contribution; 80% of above 50 million us dollars (including 50 million us dollars) will be rewarded according to the local financial contribution.

注：上述条款中未作特殊说明的“进口额”均指在义乌报关，货物运至义乌的日用消费品进口额，“转口额”指通过义乌保税物流中心、指定口岸转口的日用消费品转口额（具体认定办法另行制订）。

Note:“imports”not specified in the above terms refers to imports of daily consumer goods that is declared in Yiwu and transported to Yiwu.“Entrepot trade volume”refers to entrepot trade volume of daily consumer goods that passes Yiwu bonded logistics center and designated ports (specific programs will be formulated separately).

商位使用期内以每平方米的自营进口额为考核数据，按自营进口额达到的比例给予返还租金奖励。指标基数为1.24万元人民币/平方米·年。所有主体优惠额度不超过（实际收取商位租金-下一轮商位使用费×5%）。

During the service period of business booths, the self-employed import amount per square meter shall be used as the assessment data, and the rental reward shall be given according to the proportion that the self-employed import amount reached. The index base is 12,400 RMB/㎡ /year. The preferential quota for all entities does not exceed (actual rental charge for business booths – next round of usage fee for business booths* 5%).

 

What is Yiwu famous for?

Yiwu is the World’s Largest trading city for small commodities. Every year, over 550,000 buyers come to Yiwu for sourcing small commodity products.

 

Is Yiwu safe for tourists?

Yes, typically quite safe to be in Yiwu. I was there 2 months back on a sourcing trip and my wife surprise me by visiting me by herself as it’s my birthday and I forgot about it. It’s quite the same as most of China. Quite safe for women…if that’s a standard you want to go by.
